Bolton High Preschool Graduation

 Luke graduated from Bolton High's preschool on May 9th.   And like Mr. Incredible says about such graduations "it's not graduating, he's just moving from one grade to the next.  They keep creating new ways to celebrate mediocrity."   But when it's your own kid they are celebrating - why not right?  It's sort of funny though because we got our nephew Sam's high school graduation announcement in the mail and Luke asked me what it said.  So I read it to him and he said in a cool voice, "He's graduating?  Oh yeah, I already graduated."   Close Luke, only 13 more years to go.  Nevertheless - here was his cute little preschool graduation...

There were two Lukes in this class of 12 kids so Luke was known as Luke H.  I have a feeling this might always be the case since I just went to my nephew Trace's preschool graduation and he had 3 Lukes in his class of about 15 or so.  When we named him, it was ranked 46 in popularity.  Which is pretty rare for a boy.  Oh well.

Some of his fun high school student "teachers" or "big kids".  Luke is the one in the white shirt hanging on a leg.  With a teacher for every student - I think Luke got plenty of attention and love.  He really had a blast.  It might be a little hard to adjust to one teacher to 20 kids in Kindergarten.

At the beginning of the year - they were dressing up every Friday for a while with the first letters of the alphabet.  Here are a few pictures of his dress-up Fridays that I never posted....

A is for animal (they each dressed up like their favorite animal)

Luke picked a bumblebee.  I asked him why his favorite animal was a bumblebee - he said, cause they sting people.  ahhh sweetness. 

 B is for ... (well... it was the same week as Halloween so they just wore their costumes)

C is for clown.  (jesters are clowns right?)

D is for doctor

E is for excercise

F - no school on Friday for Thanksgiving Break.
G is for Green

And then after G I don't have anymore pictures.  I think they started doing activities and stuff that went along with the letter they were learning about.  Luckily, cause dressing him up every Friday started to get stressful.

So back to the graduation night - here is a video.  Luke is the "extra clapper" in the Days of the Week song and the awesome background dancer for the cows :)   And the Cat singing "A meow meow here..."

"Most Likely To Be Star Wars Fan Club President"

We are so proud.  Way to go Luke.  Kindergarten in just a few months!!!
