JULY 4, 2014
This year we needed to keep things low key since we had a not-quite-one-month old. We did a one family parade down our street blasting some Neil Diamond "Coming to America", "Stars and Stripes Forever" marching music and "God Bless the USA" We threw candy to any kids who happened to be outside and actually got about 8 or 9 kids who joined us on bikes and scooters. It was funny.... and a bit dorky.

I LOVE that you had a parade, that is just so you!! It's funny to see this post...since we were in Utah for the 4th it reminds me of when we lived in Pittsburgh and only knew your family through the blog. Looks like you had a happy day, and that makes me happy.
I love that even your kids' tongues and baby blankets are patriotic! I can't imagine being able to keep the 4th of July simple. It's always crazy around here.
