Joey was the first to get Luke to smile... real smiles that were repeated. The day after he turned one month old he showered us with really cute smiles. Here's the one that was captured on camera.

Katie I clearly remember that he smiled for you and your Mom when she was in town too...so you should get points for that. Maybe not on cue but hey it was a real smile! He's such a handsome little fella. I can't wait to introduce him to our little lady.

Joey and Katie first met in Mr. Hawkes 3rd grade class at Valley Elementary. They became good friends in Jr. High and best friends in High School. Katie wrote to Joey on his mission in Tiajuana and Joey wrote to Katie later on her mission in Tokyo. Years later at the ripe old age of 25, these best friends finally fell in love... or maybe just realized they were already in love. They got married on January 22, 2004.
