My kids are getting older

This is Sunday afternoon. I was watching my kids run around the livingroom and I just thought they suddenly looked older. Luke did the spotlight in church today and talked about his Wall-E, his family and his dragons. He loved talking in the microphone but was concerned that he was making everyone laugh. I'm trying to explain to him that it's a good thing when people laugh. The Primary presidency say they actually have Luke quotes they say. He is a funny kid.

I missed posting about Lucy's 18 months. (she is now 19 months) She is now in nursery at church and it's so cute to walk by and see her sitting in a little chair doing the hand motions to songs. She cried a little - well, a lot but just for a few minutes. But we found a trick that if daddy takes her, she doesn't cry. She is used to saying bye to him I guess. She weighs 23 pounds and is 32 inches tall. Here is a little of her spunk...

Loved all the pictures! They really are getting old (which I hate, because it also means I am). Lucy's hair has grown A LOT since I last saw her! Wow! And too bad Star Search is a thing of the past, she's got some lungs!

And I am jealous of your trip to Six Flags. It was even fun with toddlers? Good to know.

You got another little face squisher there. Lucy adds a bit more swag to hers. I'm so happy when you post!

Rebekah, Truman, and I just watched little Lucy rock out. We loved it so much, we had to watch it again and again! Rebekah says Lucy is so cute and looks like her 'other' grandma. (maybe it's the talent she gets from me???)

I love that song with that squinchy face and those pointy fingers. Good combo. I wish I could have heard Luke's talk about Wall-E. He cracks me up. Cute kids. I want to see them in their native environment.

Katie, just so you know--the extra big photo is now part of the software on Blogger. Brand new. I always wanted to do it before, too, but was too lazy to mess with the code. So doesn't just make you want to post some more? Doesn't it?

So cute! You need to dub some rap music over the finger-shooting part! That video made my day!

Every story has a beginning...

Joey and Katie first met in Mr. Hawkes 3rd grade class at Valley Elementary. They became good friends in Jr. High and best friends in High School. Katie wrote to Joey on his mission in Tiajuana and Joey wrote to Katie later on her mission in Tokyo. Years later at the ripe old age of 25, these best friends finally fell in love... or maybe just realized they were already in love. They got married on January 22, 2004.

happy kids
