All things Halloweeny

For some reason Luke really wanted a sad faced jack-o-lantern this year.  And we obliged him.  So, I think all our neighbors might think we are depressed or are trying to make a statement about Halloween.  But it's just that we do whatever our 3 year old tells us.

My sad, sad kids with their sad, sad pumpkin
Joey even put tears. Oh, the anguish.

Speaking of an awesome Joey.  He made Luke a tin man costume out of cardboard and spray paint.  Luke loved being a "robot" and corrected people every time they told him what a cute tin man he was.  Finally he compromised with the rest of the world and called himself a tin man robot.

Our ward party.
HALLOWEEN NIGHT - Trick-or-treating in our neighborhood....

Sadly, when the tin man fell down - he couldn't get up.
So, his parents did what any good parents would do, laugh and take pictures.
I heard a lot of people had to help him up at our Halloween party.  Poor tin man robot.

Turns out - Luke doesn't scare easily.
He wasn't too affected by the scary creatures he met on Halloween night.

I love the picture of Lucy holding a pumpkin on the hay wagon. She's a doll!
And I'm so glad you are the kind of parents who laugh and take pictures when your child has fallen and can't get up. Company!
And the tears on the sad pumpkin are awesome.

My favorite line: "so we did what any good parents would do, laugh and take pictures." Those are good, good parents. Also, when did Joes become such an artist? He's finally showing off his hidden skills with his sad pumpkin carving and tin man costume-making.

There must have been a wizard who put those costumes together. I even caught a glimpse of a ruby slipper!

Your kids have so much character! Lucy was actually making a sad face and she is so young. If I had told Blake to make a sad face he would just stare blankly at me. Your family is so fun.

Everyone seems to be commenting about your adorable kids, but I'm here to tell you what a great Dorothy you made! What great costumes!

Also, I can't believe how much hair Lucy has now, whoa! It's grown so much!

And we know where Toto is.

Every story has a beginning...

Joey and Katie first met in Mr. Hawkes 3rd grade class at Valley Elementary. They became good friends in Jr. High and best friends in High School. Katie wrote to Joey on his mission in Tiajuana and Joey wrote to Katie later on her mission in Tokyo. Years later at the ripe old age of 25, these best friends finally fell in love... or maybe just realized they were already in love. They got married on January 22, 2004.

happy kids
