Luke

So this video is from about a month and a half ago but it's exciting as parents to see your kids learn new things. It's also awesome when tv does the work for you. Joey and I really were surprised that he could do that - but he's been watching Word World and Leap Frog lately so I guess he's been learning stuff without us knowing. That little trickster. He also has learned to write his name.

So, Luke has really become a little person lately. I've loved our conversations because he's so fascinated by everything. He asks me SO many questions and basically says "why?" after everything I say. I'm definitely learning a lot just from trying to answer all his questions. Here are a few recent Luke funnies:

"Daddy will you come potty with me? Then I will have 2 people to protect me, Jesus and Daddy!"

"Mom, when you are done going poo just say (yelling) I NEED TO WIPE MY BUM! (normal voice) to yourself."

"I found a crack in the ceiling mom! And a crack in the wall! Our house is going to hatch!"

Luke: "Who made all the people?"
Daddy: Heavenly Father did."
L: "No dad, ALL the people."
D: "Heavenly Father"
L: "But didn't He get tired?"
D: "Yeah, He rested on the 7th day"
L: "No, He rested on his magic bed with his magic blankets."

Luke: "My show won't work!" Daddy: "should I come and fix it?" Luke: "Yeah! Cause you can fix teeth and toys AND shows!"

Swimming at the lake, Luke kept drifting from the boat. We said, "swim Luke!" He said "I can't! I don't have any batteries!"

Those are some very funny kid quotes--I'm so glad you wrote them down!!
Hey, I heard you guys are coming out for Thanksgiving. That's awesome! When?
Oh, and I like your other two posts a lot, too. But I'm only going to comment on this one. Just so you know.

As much as people hate tv that is how all my girls picked up on things. And then with Daisy we watched less learning movies and more regular disney movies and now she is kind of dumb. TV is not all bad. I think I liked Joey reaction to it all the best.

I thought that was hilarious how you wrote a word on a marker board, asked Luke to read it, then were so astonished when he did! Good little smart Luke. Tell him hi from us guys.

Wow! I am so impressed! Addie isn't even close to reading yet, I keep trying, but she has no interest yet. Oh well. And I wonder what will come out of your house when it hatches. Keep me posted.

Funny funny quotes. I needed that cracked house quote because it describes our situation perfectly. Hopefully it will hatch into a new house without cracks. Also, that little Lucy is a rockin' chick. I love how she does such a cool dude face while she grooves out.

Every story has a beginning...

Joey and Katie first met in Mr. Hawkes 3rd grade class at Valley Elementary. They became good friends in Jr. High and best friends in High School. Katie wrote to Joey on his mission in Tiajuana and Joey wrote to Katie later on her mission in Tokyo. Years later at the ripe old age of 25, these best friends finally fell in love... or maybe just realized they were already in love. They got married on January 22, 2004.

happy kids
