Jon and Henry

At the beginning of September Jon brought Henry on a father-son trip to check out the Memphis music scene (Henry plays the guitar, piano, bugle and trumpet) and to hang out with his very small cousins.

Crazy ole uncle jon

Our little Henry, who is notorious for not eating anything, enjoyed the ribs at Fat Larry's immensely.  And on the way home, some ice cream and a hot-and-ready pizza as a chaser.  That boy can eat!

Jon was so nice to come with me to help my Japanese friend Kana move.  (He went to Japan on his mission too so talked a little to her)  And who did we see there?  Elder Sam - that's who.

Saturday we took them to a very warm southern lake  - it was a little too warm that day.  We were all careful not to swallow any water.

wow that's a lot of kids....and a caleb...

luke decides to take a stand

"that's pretty cool,... I guess"

And dinner that night with none other than Sam I Am.   He's such a great person and missionary.

It was fun to have those Hale boys here!  Jon with his comedic wit and Henry with his gentle answers, sly smile and twinkly eyes.  We are glad you two could join us for some Memphis time.

Love it! You know we are crafing up a plan to come to Memphis next summer. The boys want a repreat of Floribama and to see the Memphis peeps!

Every story has a beginning...

Joey and Katie first met in Mr. Hawkes 3rd grade class at Valley Elementary. They became good friends in Jr. High and best friends in High School. Katie wrote to Joey on his mission in Tiajuana and Joey wrote to Katie later on her mission in Tokyo. Years later at the ripe old age of 25, these best friends finally fell in love... or maybe just realized they were already in love. They got married on January 22, 2004.

happy kids
