Every story has a beginning...
Joey and Katie first met in Mr. Hawkes 3rd grade class at Valley Elementary. They became good friends in Jr. High and best friends in High School. Katie wrote to Joey on his mission in Tiajuana and Joey wrote to Katie later on her mission in Tokyo. Years later at the ripe old age of 25, these best friends finally fell in love... or maybe just realized they were already in love. They got married on January 22, 2004.

oh no what have you done?! it's ready?! i want to watch it right now, but i really want to wait for the big screen version tomorrow night! why do you tempt me like this?! well i will just have to hang out with her in person until i get to see the feature film, 'cause i really do want to wait to see it the first time with you guys.
That's awesome. Such a cutie--she's just smiling all the time! It's no fair that your kids got all the dimples.
That cake photo session reminds me--the second picture, where she looks disgustedly at the frosting on her hands, was Anika's reaction to her first birthday cake. Luckily Maryanne got over it.
We just watched the video of Maryanne's first year. Wow!!! This past year seems to have gone by as fast as the movie. We loved the music! And we love our little Smileyanne!!! ~ Grandma & Grandpa

Katie, You make AMAZING videos! You have chronicled your kids lives so well! Lucky, lucky them! And I love feeling like I know her when we're so far away.
