you wanna kukuwa too?

We spent a week at Joey's family's RANCH in Grover, UT. Our sister Lisa taught us some pretty fancy African dance steps. I felt like I was on Dan In Real Life where the family does group exercise every morning. Have you seen that show? Great show, btw.

Since this took place on my birthday - let me post a few birthday pics. This was the best birthday ever! Joey MADE me a mahogany jewelry box!! Did you hear that? He MADE it!!!

he also made me a cake

And I got to go on a special birthday hike - I'm pretty sure Joey, Mike and Chad found this awesome place just for me. So nice of them. We piled on 4-wheelers in order to get to it. We hiked through narrows to a waterfall. Pretty darn fun.

such a fun birthday. And when we got back to Huntsville - my sister Jenny orchestrated a surprise birthday party with all my Songer nieces and nephews. It was so fun to be home for my birthday!

So - I need to post about my sister Sarah's wedding. She got married ya know. I need someone to send me some pictures though. I was too busy to take any. But I've got some sweet pictures of 6 sisters in sparkly bell-bottoms and 70's fro wigs - so get ready for that.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's announcement of a very important characteristic of Hale baby #2....

Every story has a beginning...

Joey and Katie first met in Mr. Hawkes 3rd grade class at Valley Elementary. They became good friends in Jr. High and best friends in High School. Katie wrote to Joey on his mission in Tiajuana and Joey wrote to Katie later on her mission in Tokyo. Years later at the ripe old age of 25, these best friends finally fell in love... or maybe just realized they were already in love. They got married on January 22, 2004.

happy kids
