calling all luke fans

It's the end of the first quarter of Luke's life as a one year old. He's now 25 pounds and, like his parents, he's a really good eater and sleeper. He sleeps at least 12 hours a night with a 3 hour nap during the day...just like his parents :-) Here he is eating a pork burrito, grown-up style.

His favorite thing in the world is a "BALL!" which he exclaims at least 100 times a day. We finally bought him a basketball hoop and he vigorously shot hoops for an hour and a half until I put it away because I felt like he was going to pass out from excitement.

He has become quite the independent little man. And it's actually pretty darn scary. He runs away from me never looking back, climbs at playgrounds and slides down slides without my help. He's totally fearless. Needless to say - this causes many bumps and bruises, But he never seems to mind too much. One day he fell down and scraped his face on the sidewalk twice! Here is the very cute aftermath:

Here are some videos from the last 3 months to go down in the archives of the Lukester:

I love being his mom!

That's a cute kid. He happens to be a Harris favorite, just so you know.

I love all the videos! I feel like I got to know him pretty well. What a funny kid!!!

Every story has a beginning...

Joey and Katie first met in Mr. Hawkes 3rd grade class at Valley Elementary. They became good friends in Jr. High and best friends in High School. Katie wrote to Joey on his mission in Tiajuana and Joey wrote to Katie later on her mission in Tokyo. Years later at the ripe old age of 25, these best friends finally fell in love... or maybe just realized they were already in love. They got married on January 22, 2004.

happy kids
